Powerful measurement and evaluation is at the heart of Diffusion’s payment-by-results approach. Our philosophy is that we only implement a strategy or tactic if it will deliver a real benefit to your brand or bottom line which we can clearly evaluate. PR measurement has evolved, and we don’t measure our success by the thickness of a clippings book or by Advertising Value Equivalent, great communication is more sophisticated than that. Our focus is on designing and implementing programmes that concentrate on business outcomes, rather than just on campaign outputs.

Business objectives first

At Diffusion we really like to get under your skin. Our consultants will usually have an impressive grasp of your industry but we need to know what makes you tick as a business, what’s keeping you awake at night and what are the opportunities you want to grasp. Our campaign design process begins with getting to know you inside out, and when we start working with you, our monthly meetings will always begin with a business and industry update. And don’t be surprised if we ask to work from your offices for a few days each month, so we can really understand your company culture. We know your marketing budget is a precious resource and in today’s competitive environment, PR which isn’t aligned to your business objectives is pointless.

Payment by results

There is a lot which is fresh and innovative about our work, but something tells us you will probably like our payment-by-results approach the best. We don’t believe in retainers and instead look at each aspect of our integrated campaigns as discrete projects. At the start of each month we agree with you how your budget is going to be spent and develop a Campaign Tracker document with each activity assigned a cost and set of clear deliverables. At the end of the month we send you a detailed report and only invoice you for the deliverables we have achieved. This means that the onus is on us rather than you to be constantly proactive and make results happen and you have complete transparency over how your budget is being used and the results you can expect.
